And Then He Turned Eight

The little guy turned eight on Monday! Can you believe it? I guess I should stop calling him little guy, but I'm not gunna. He is simply the best kid anyone could ask for, thoughful, funny, caring, smart, opinionated, strong, talented and tender. Here's to eight great years and at least 80 more to go!

Play Planet in Draper was a great place to take these 5 boys! All you can eat kid buffet, who could ask for anything more?

Over four hours later these boys were still having a blast! But, alas, it was time to go home.

 

Home in time for one last slice of pizza, but this one was a little sweeter! 

(It's a pizza cake...if you can't tell.)

Quotes of the Week...I mean Month...or maybe every once in a while

It looks as if the kids have lost their funny antics over the last little while. Or, more likely, I've done a crap job at writing them down. Truth is a day doesn't go by where these two don't make me laugh with something they say. Whether they mean to or not they are hilarious. Here are the old quotes, going back over the whole year. My "quote of the week" has turned into the quote of the month or even quote of the quarter. But so have my weekly blog posts so...oh well.

March Visiting Teaching Message

The Visiting Teaching Message for March is Under the Priesthood and after the Pattern of the Priesthood
This St. Patrick's Day inspired VT gift is a cute green polka dot cellophane bag with a bag of Skittles and 3 chocolate coins inside. I threw in a little green paper to fill it out a bit and was thinking some shamrock confetti would be a cute addition to. The bag topper says, "We are LUCKY to have you in Relief Society" and on the reverse has a quote from the message by Barbara Thompson, 2nd counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency. Any green candy, or St. Patrick's Day related gift would be really cute as well. Irish Soda bread (recipe here) would be a fun little gift to give as well.
